Location: Gateshead (travel across the UK required with Employer package)

Four Chambers Recruitment are working with our client in Gateshead, a leader in drainage services who have recently launched a dedicated Industrial Services Division. They are looking to recruit Industrial Services Operatives to join their growing team.

The Role

As an Industrial Services Operative, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering critical cleaning and maintenance services across the UK. This is a hands-on role, working outdoors in a variety of environments. You’ll be operating specialist vehicles and equipment to carry out:

• Pipe and tank cleansing programmes
• Sewer, drain, and large-scale storage tank maintenance
• General industrial cleaning and decontamination
• Septic tank emptying and blockage clearance
• Flood defence support and reactive emergency works

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate specialised vehicles and industrial cleaning equipment
• Work outdoors in physically demanding conditions, including heavy lifting and manual handling
• Use safety harnesses, work at height and in confined spaces (sometimes with breathing apparatus)
• Travel to customer sites across the UK as part of project delivery
• Participate in the standby rota to support out-of-hours and emergency response requirements
• Deliver a high standard of service to clients, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in industrial services, drainage, or a similar environment is advantageous
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
• Comfortable with confined space working and at height (training can be provided)
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required
• Jetting certificate WJA
• High Risk Confined Space with Breathing Apparatus
• Working at Heights
